Today I am adding pom-poms on my scarf and we made a video while I did it. My son has been gone so much with school and sports that we haven't had much time to shoot these video tutorials. I am glad we got one done today. The Pom Tree is a great invention and you can order your own here. This link is on my sidebar as well.
Pom-poms are really a hot trend again. I am seeing them everywhere and really big poms too! It is very fun. The scarf I am adding pom-poms to is a Teva Durham design I knitted awhile ago from here. I used a double strand of Elsbeth Lavold's Silky Wool. It is a lovely scarf.
I should have asked Santa to bring me one for Christmas. Thanks for the demo!
Thank you for the tutorial - I bought the pom tree back when you suggested it at your shop:) I'm nothing if not a craft gadget hog! The picture with the scarf is great - you look great, happy, rosy cheeked - great candid shot - and the scarf is wonderful too, of course. Happy Holidays!
Oh, thank you, Susie! Just what I needed. (is that link right? It's to this http://www.traveldocument.com/)
I will totally get one of those Pom Trees!
Love the scarf!
I have a loom-knitter friend who make the world's best pom-poms. I ask her to make them for me when I need them because hers are so much prettier and fluffier. It has led to some off-color discussions by a few coworkers over "who has the best (and biggest) pom-poms!" Too funny. But she wins either way, so I'll just let her be my Pom Tree!!
you're right - i do love the pom tree! i'm a madison knitter and i also work for fiskars - so nice to see you using a pair of our soft-touch scissors for your work! ;)
This is a great tutorial. Thanks!! And that scarf is gorgeous.
LOVE your books by the way. I recommend them to everyone.
I found your terrific blog thanks to the Ready, Set, Knit podcast. This is great! I have the pom tree but now I finally understand how to get the best results from it. Thank you!
