I've been wanting to do this forever and now that I am home for a good stretch, I am. I have enough brand new, untouched yarn sitting in my studio for someone to make another Giraffe from Itty-Bitty Toys. It's the same yarn I used to knit the original Giraffe. The Giraffe calls for two skeins of Cascade 220 Superwash in Daffodil. Got it. Plus you need one skein of Orange in the same. Check. It's all here and ready to go.
I have no plans to knit another Giraffe anytime soon so I want you to take it off my hands!
You all know the drill. Leave me a comment. Say hello or whatever you'd like (within reason, of course:). I will randomly select a winner in a day or two or a few days, I don't know exactly when. I'll see how it goes. Please leave some identifying something like your name, location, anything you feel comfortable with. Only enter once, please. After I select a winner I will post the winning comment. The winner will have a few days to send me their mailing address through my email (on the sidebar). If I don't hear anything I will pick a new winner at that time.
Have fun! Let's make this one fast and furious.

I may even play a little Secret Santa and sweeten the pot with some added prizes!!! You never know what you might get. I've got stuff, Knitters, good stuff. And I like to give it away.
fyi: One thing that won't be included in the surprise pot is a copy of Itty-Bitty Toys since I only have one copy in my possession at this point. I have given away every copy I had, which was maybe 15-20 copies, can't remember exactly. I need to get some more books for sure but right now I need to hang onto the only copy I have.
Okay, Knitters, go for it!
best, susie

I think I need to knit a giraffe for my son Ben...he is taking a cartooning class and was recently stumped when he tried to draw a cartoonish giraffe....I love your blog! Thanks for all the inspiration!!!
Oh, how I wish you would come to a knit shop around here to show off Itty Bitty Toys! I have a brand new nephew and can't decide which toy to make first. This would make the decision easy!!
I have a special little girl to knit the giraffe for. Hope you pick me.
I'm going to stick my neck out and enter this for sure! I am just finishing my first giraffe tonight and I am giving it as a Christmas gift along with the book "A Giraffe and a Half". Seemed like a nice combo ... I am wowing my friends with the reversibles...I live in Madison and hoping for a snow day tomorrow. Knit and bake all day long! Thanks for the contest - Kim! Oh, I made the Elf - too sweet for words!
I have wanted to knit this for my grandson (adopted in Feb) since I first saw it!!
I'd love to knit the giraffe. And I've got my (signed copy) book at the ready! I'll knit it as a tribute to the giraffe we lost at the Tulsa Zoo.

What a great idea! And I first heard of Itty Bitty from the giraffe on the cover, so of course I'd like to try it!
Susan, this is a great idea -- I would love to win! I bought your book sight unseen before you even did your preview, and I am not disappointed. I've set it aside to finish some holiday crafting, but I'd love to win the yarn and add the giraffe to my baby hope chest.
-Faith in Indiana
Susan, I would love the yarn. I bought your book a week ago. I think the hippo, the bunny, and the pig are so cute and plan to knit them soon.
Gail Crews
I would love the opportunity to win this as my 34 year old son had a giraffe as his favorite toy when he was little. NOW I would love to make this precious giraffe for his one year old son.
MarDee
Me! Me! I wants to knit a giraffe, he is so adorable
Oh me, oh me (hand raised up high in the air)! It would give me an excuse to buy the book in a blink and to tell my hubbie I had no choice to get the book because only that yarn goes with that project.
I'd love to make the giraffe and I already have the book! Mary from Petaluma, and a Badger alumnus!
I'm in love with all these toys you've been posting and would love to knit this for my niece!
The giraffe is adorable! I am currently obsessed with knitting itty-bitty hats for my nieces, but would love to venture out and try the giraffe. Thanks for the generous give-a-way!!

I have all the Itty Bitty's and on a trip from Ohio to Tulsa this week JUST MISSED you there. Ouch! But I have had fun following you from yarn shop to yarn shop on the blog. There is just something so very appealing about giraffes, what is it? Long eyelashes? Thanks for the opportunity to win.
Oh my gosh I'm so excited! I'd love to knit a giraffe. My sister is having a baby in March and I've bought your book with plans to make just about everything in there! Already made "Sisters" for my sister on her birthday earlier this month. So sweet!! Plus, we have a thing for giraffes ever since that silly SnL skit about the giraffe documentary!
Thank you for offering this Your books rock!

Aw, that would be awesome! I'd love to win some yarn to make that cute giraffe! -Kelly M.

I would love to knit this Giraffe! It was nice to meet you at Loops! Come back to Oklahoma soon:-)

For once I'm not trying to win this one. I've got one giraffe under my belt and the yarn for another ready and waiting. She turned out ADORABLE, by the way...
While my itty bitty first grade son would never admit to it he sleeps with a giraffe every night. A knitted giraffe would make a great companion for Giraffey. Keep up the great work Susan!
I adore the giraffe and so does my daughter. She LOVES giraffes. What better way to knit her one? How special would THAT be?
Another fun giveaway! Maybe I'll be the lucky number. It would be great to hold some warm wool, now that the temperature is below zero here in Colorado Springs! Thanks for a chance-
shamaree

I'd love to knit a giraffe! I bought your Itty Bitty Toys a few weeks ago and have been itching to knit everything in it. It will have to wait until after my Christmas knitting is done!
Cheers from another Wisconsin knitter,
Laura, Flours and Fibers
The giraffe may well be one of my fav projects in your entire book - I can't wait to knit one up... I have just the babe in mind to do it for, just don't know if it's for a boy or girl until another week!
woops - forgot to add that comment from Blake family was from Melissa in the Pacific Northwest
Thanks for all your prizes you do with drawings. Just really fun. I bought your book autographed in Mpls and am anxious to do the giraffe. What a treat to see this contest on your Blog. I have never won anything but thought it would be fun to give it a whirl

Fraun
I'd love to make this. You inspire me. Even relatively new knitter can follow your simple patterns.
Veronica, oak view
The giraffe is adorable. My new granddaughter Molly's room is filled with zoo animals but giraffes are her mom and dad's favorite (she has a giraffe night lite and lamp). She absolutely needs a giraffe to hug at night! I've got all three of the Itty Bitty books but have not had the time to knit anything from this new one.
Giraffes are very decorative. I guess I would do this for my little girl but would everyday glance at it and think that I am a good mother to hand such a cutie over and not keep it to myself.
Aww the giraffe resting on the pillow is so cute! I would love to win this contest seeing I've never won anything before lol...but mostly so I can knit this for my little girl...she'll LOVE it! Beautiful design as usual...
Wonderful giraffe and lovely yarn but not so easy to find in the UK where I am. ( There is no problem getting the book though, I have had it for some weeks now!) So of course I would be absolutely delighted to have the chance to use the correct yarn without all that maths to check the tension.
Hello from Norway! Please count me in! I've just received your book from Amazon in the UK! Would be thrilled to receive this yarn from you! Cheers!
Yes yes please!! It's just so cute!
I've knitted my first hat, and would love to get my first toy! Haha!!
I love the giraffe! Our Pre-K teacher at school collects giraffes and I would love to make it for her! Thanks!

I've already knitted the giraffe and I really wanted to give it to my 17 week old nephew, but couldn't bring myself to part with him! I've run out of yarn now so this would be the perfect oppurtunity to knit another one for my nephew and still have one for my nursery!
I would love the chance to get this, I just luv giraffe's and elephants. Since, I've already knit an elephant (30 years ago) it's about time for me to knit a giraffe.
Me, me, me . . . well just as soon as I finish the bluebird/egg & the bunny from spud & chloe, oh and another ribbit. . .
I love the giraffe! Giraffes are my 15 month old little girls favourite animal in the world! :)
Susan - are you coming to New Jersey on your tour? I would love to meet you and have you sign copies of the books.
I had to buy a new copy of IBHats because my first one actually fell apart from use! Every baby shower I attend has a hat as part of the gift and I do a great deal of charity kniting using your patterns.

I love the giraffe. I have been following your blog and seeing the book on a lot of other blogs. Everytime I see a post about the book, I always see the cute giraffe and think "I should make my nephew a giraffe" because he loves giraffes. I have the book on my Christmas list and can't wait to see if "Santa" brings it to me.
How fun is this giraffe! I bought the book as a pre-order and couldn't wait to get it. I never knitted a toy before but fell in love with this book (as I do with all of your books). So the smart thing I did was knit the turkey KAL you did before Thanksgiving! It made me realize that knitting toys isn't as difficult as it appears. Your instructions were perfect and made it very easy to follow and understand! Thank you for all you do for knitters!!!

P.S. I received Itty Bitty Hats two years ago for Christmas and everyone loves the hats I've made from it.

You made the places, shops, people - and your beautiful animals - come alive in such an appealing way. Reading your blog is more than just a knitting experience. Keep up the good work!
Love your little giraffe! My daughter would love one... I'd love to knit it for her!
Oh no, this is going to be just like Itty Bitty Hats. I'll start with the giraffe and end up having to make every single one of these adorable toys! I'm excited and terrified about winning all at the same time. Must find friends who need knitted toys....
i would love to make the giraffe :) i had my daughter in august and haven't knitted a thing since...so i need something good to start back with! this is perfect!
That giraffe reminds me so much of a felt one my great-grandmother made for me when I was a baby. That guy (with some sort of stick in his neck to keep his head from flopping over, still resides in my Rubbermaid container of childhood memorabilia.
Hi Susan~ I love knitting your toys and although I don't always follow the color pattern it would be great to do just that for this little guy. My niece and Nephew turn 1 early Jan and it would definatly be for them :) I have elephante in my living room (I'm a huge elephant fan) and I've made them some hats. Always looking for fun little projects for them. Keep up the great work I enjoy hearing about your adventures! ~Chef Abbie Centenennial CO
That guy reminds me so much of a felt giraffe my great-grandmother made for me when I was a baby. He had a stick in his neck to keep him from flopping over. I think he resides in a big Rubbermaid container of childhood memorabilia.
Of course my kids had the same reaction to your book as you have seen around: they have a list of toys for me to knit... Thank you for your beautiful designs, enjoy the Season with your loved ones!

I heard you're coming to Loop in Philly, can't wait!
Giraffe's are my absolute favorite and have put this on my list of things to make. However, gifts for others always seem to take a priority -- you know how it goes.
Susan - you are the best!
All the babies I know already have an itty bitty hat! And I just got Itty Bitty Toys yesterday and have been obsessing over where to start for the past 24 hours!

You are always so generous! Today is London's second birthday, so I think it is our lucky day to win the makings for a giraffe! :) BTW, I love that rose pillow next to your giraffe. :)
I do I do - and this weekend I am slated to finally squeeze out enough minutes to do that handsome elf. I bought wild red and lime green. Cannot wait. Thanks for all the fun in your blogs. I feel like a friend is emailing me everyday.

The Giraffe is my favorite, and with a brand new cousin in the family what a perfect holiday knit. I have a feeling she will be receiving many toys from your book. Thanks, see you Saturday!
Aw, he is the cutest giraffe ever and I would love to knit him.
Susan - As one of your many followers, I so enjoy your designs and blogs. I have the Itty-Bitty Nursery and Itty-Bitty books and am hoping Santa will deliver your newest book for Christmas. I have been instructed not to buy it - ( I want it Now), so things are looking good that it will be under the tree. The Giraffe is one of my favorites in your book,so without a doubt I would love to win this offer. How do you do all the things you do with four children?
I just bought your book and just love it. I would love to make the Giraffe. He is so cute. Thanks so much.
