Super-Duper Giveaway!

Hi Knitters,
I'm cleaning out big time. Which means if you want to win a big bunch of yarn you are in luck. I am throwing in a sweet little handmade apron in a 4-5 year-old size. I bought this for The Collector and she only wore it once or twice. It has been folded up in a drawer for years so it needs a good press. It is in perfect condition. The Collector isn't much of an apron girl and I'm not either. The apron has two buttons in the back. It is completely adorable and vintage looking and some little girl out there would just love it. It would make a great art smock, too.
Okay, here is the yarn that I will happily pack up and send to you when you win:
3 skeins of Tahki Cotton Classic in light blue (already wound full skeins)
2 skeins of Tahki Cotton Classic in off white (already wound full skeins)
4 skeins of Tahki Cotton Classic in white (already wound full skeins)
1 skein of Tahki Cotton Classic in red (already wound full skein)
2 skeins of Rowan All Seasons Cotton in Lemon (really pretty yellow)
2 skeins of Rowan All Seasons Cotton in Orange Creamsicle  variegated
1 skein of Rowan All Seasons Cotton in Denim variegated
1 skein Classic Elite Provence in purple
1 skein Classic Elite Provence in blue (already wound full skein)
2 skeins Tahki Cotton Classic Tweedy Cotton in multi blue, red and yellow
1 skein Tahki Cotton Classic Tweedy Cotton in multi purple, green and pink
1 skein Noro Sukara (gorgeous!!)
1 skein Lorna's Laces Shepherd Worsted in Georgetown #152 (gorgeous!!)
1 skein Cascade Luna 100% Peruvian Cotton in yellow

Yep, all of that is included. That's enough yarn for a whole lot of baby hats or for anything you feel like. I need to clear out and I hope you can help.

Leave me a comment on this blog post and say hi, tell me something good, tell me something funny, whatever comes to mind. Leave some sort of identifying information like a name, location, link, email address (it's up to you). Please do not email me to enter, you need to leave a comment. I am not sure when I will end this contest. Next week is spotty for me, I will be in and out and my work load is never-ending. I am just opening the contest up and then I will end it when I get a chance. I am leaving it at that. Leave only one comment, please.

I will randomly select a winner with a number generator. I will post the winner on my next blog post. The winner will have 2 days after I post to contact me with their mailing address. If I don't hear from the winner after 2 days I will select a new winner and then I will post it on the blog.

That's all. Have fun! Go for it!
best, susie
p.s. more to come...this is hardly scratching the surface.

Hi Susan! I've been following your blog for a little bit now and must say I love it. You're so real. I have followed a few other author's blogs, but there's never anything very personal, just promotions about upcoming books. Which is fine, but I just wanted to tell you that I enjoy getting to know you. I love your knitting books and when I am doing your projects it almost feels like I do know you a bit, if that makes any sense. Anyway, I'd like to be entered into your contest also and you're so very generous with this. Thanks for everything!

11I just love making the Itty-Bitty hats. I give them to hospitals in boxes of 50 and actually get notes from the nurses! Their favorite is the cupcake hat from your Nursery book. I make it smaller for the preemies and also larger sizes. I love all of them and can't knit fast enough! That yarn would be put to good use.

oh the excitement! and how odd.... i was just informing myself of the Red Scarf Project (on ravelry)when i next decided to click over to your site to check out that lovely free scarf pattern you recently posted and to catch up on what's what. now, as i'm not much of a "red" person in my knitting life, i don't own any red stash yarn... BUT i see one little skein in your giveaway list and wouldn't that be karmic-ly fitting if it were to come my way and hence be used for the RS project? would it be suitable for your cable scarf pattern, do you think?

Great giveaway! I am going to throw my hat into the ring!

My brain is fried from taking care of my very active 19 month old daughter. So this is the only thing that comes into my mind to tell you. Although she is a handful and drives me beyond exhaustion, her smiles, hugs and kisses makes it all worth it. I love being a mommy.

Alice Regan said...

Wowzer...439 comments so far! Oh, there would be so many fun and exciting things to make with all of this beautiful yarn. The apron is adorable ...I'd pass that along to my granddaughter! She loves to bake with me in the kitchen! Your generosity is beyond beautiful! I wish you nothing but a relaxing and beautiful time away!

Something funny ...well it's more just plain darn sweet. My two year old grandson has just learned to say 'I wuv u' ...so when he leaves at the end of the day ...he can now say bye-bye ...I wuv u! It just puts such a big smile on my face, but an even bigger smile in my heart!

Your "Itty Bitty Hats" book has inspired me beyond words. Now, I'm referred to by those around me as "She makes hats...you should see them!" And people are already placing their orders for this fall. And it's AUGUST!!! I have only ever made a couple exact patterns from the book -- but what you've put into it has inspired me to create as many different hats as I can fathom..and share them with all who will wear them.

So thank you. This yarn will definatley help me keep up on my fall orders -- especially since I don't charge a dime for any of my work.

Hello. Thanks for giving us an opportunity to win such a bundle of yarn! I just finished making your 'Flower Cardigan & Hat' set for a baby shower gift and it was a HUGE hit! Everyone went ga-ga over the cuteness of it. (See photos on my blog.) Just wanted to say I love your patterns and keep the creative juices flowing!

What a generous thing to do! I am a new knitter...just learned this past March. Guess you can say I have been bit by the knitting bug big time! My friend introduced me to your books and I have fallen in love with your patterns. I made my very first hat from your itty bitty hats book for my daughter. I also made the 'birthday' hat one as it was simply adorable. I am looking forward to knitting a lot more patterns and figured this was a great way to introduce myself. :) Hello everyone!!

Wow, I love all of these yarns you are giving away! It is my birthday tomorrow and I would really love some more yarn to work with. I absolutely love your blog and how whimsical it is. I'm from Washington state so I knit for the weather very often. Anyway, I'm rambling... Have a good weekend!

I had one of life's greatest gifts handed to me this past week. Sunday my little boy was born two weeks early. My sister made your sweet pea hat for him. We didn't plan on him being early, so the hat is a little bit. But I know he will grow into it and I just adore him and the hat!

Hi Susan, I know you won't be sending anything to Germany, but I am taking the giveaway as the impetus to tell you how much I am enjoying knitting hats out of Itty Bitty Hats. They are all so whimsical! Mind you, I don't have anyone close to knit them for! I am sending them all to three second cousins twice removed who live a three hour flight plus four hour drive away from me. To see our combined work (your designs plus my knitting), you can check out my ravelry projects. My ravelry name is my first name, "Kadri".

I will be ordering Itty Bitty Nursery this weekend & I am waiting for Itty Bitty Toys to appear in print. I hope you stay interested in knitting & sharing your creations for a long, long time.
