Introducing Barrett Wool Co.

Hi, Knitters,
I'm ready to introduce my new adventure to you. It is called Barrett Wool Co. I'm so excited about my new yarn and pattern line. It has been a labor of love in the making for the past three years. If you are wondering about the name Barrett it comes from the B. in Susan B. Anderson. Barrett is my middle name.

Click here to find out more about Barrett Wool Co. ! Be sure to read the About page. There is a wedding photo included.

I'll be back with more information but for now I am scooting off for the opening. There is so much work to do.

Love to you all!
Susan

Congratulations on your new venture. I'm excited to see what else you have up your sleeve for your loyal followers. I have a question, if you were to translate the colors of the original sprite pattern into Barrett yarn colors, what would they be? Any thought of putting together kits?
Thanks,
BarbaraH

Congratulations! Sovely lovely colors and the 2 weights currently are the ones I use most often. What breed(s) of American sheep are used to make your yarn?

Susan B. Anderson said...

tss818 ~ Hi, Thanks so much! The reason I picked those two weights is that those are the ones I use most often, too! The wool is 100% Domestic Columbia. Thanks for asking.

Congratulations on your new venture! I've been a huge fan since I walked into my LYS 10 years ago and said, "Help! Quick! I need a baby shower gift for a co-worker." The owner said she had a new book that was just the thing. She pulled out Itty-Bitty Hats, we found perfect yarn, and I made Marley. Huge hit! I've gone back to the book many times.

Then I found the video tutorials. Kitchener first. Another big help - knit off, purl; purl off, knit. For me it was genius. I could finally do it and remember.

And the yarn - fabulous colors, 100-gram skeins, American, my favorite weights too! Can't wait to try.

You have special gifts. Thank you for sharing!
