Hi, Knitters,
The podcast and all of my other videos are available for viewing and subscription on my YouTube Channel (click here!) and on iTunes (click here!).
Today on Episode 11 I chat about all kinds of things knitting-related and beyond. I especially focus on my friend, the multi-talented Kristin Nicholas, and all of the wonderful new ventures she has going on. I am giving away some of her beautiful Regia Colorations jacquard sock yarn and her re-released book, Colorful Stitchery.
If you can't see the videos through the email for subscribers, please hop over to my blog to view. Click here! The video below was filmed at Kristin's farm for Creativebug.com where she has several classes. It is a very well-done video and it is fun to get a visual of Kristin and her home and farm. Kristin lives on her farm with her husband, who she affectionately calls The Farmer, and her teenage daughter, Julia.

I was first introduced to Kristin Nicholas in Melanie Falick's Knitting In America. Her colours are so distinctive and were perfect for my little girl (who is now designing knitwear).
Great chatty show!
I patched the elbows on my favourite black cashmere sweater with leafy stitch designs. Was afraid of ruining it, but I wouldn't have worn it with holes.

Oh My Gosh! Colorful Stitchery is to die for. I've been using my inherited McCalls Treasury of Needlecraft for years as my go to for embroidery stitches, crewel work, etc. etc. NOW a wonderful book for updated applications for using those wonderful needle arts. I will buy this book immediately and really appreciate you bringing it to my attention. Might get me to put down my spindles and knitting needles to do some other stitchery.
Thank you thank you thank you!
Very much enjoying your videocasts!

although I never lived on a Farm, the joy of stories of the Farm make me happy. A visit to a Farm at shearing time is very interesting, watching the sheep lose their coat and I have the chance to buy it, bring it home nd turn it into a Sweater.
