Hi Knitters,
This morning I cast on Owls by Kate Davies. I have had a bag of the Rowan Purelife British Sheep Breeds Chunky Undyed (100% British wool) in the Steel Grey Suffolk colorway for over a year waiting to become an Owls pullover.
I am pretty excited about it. In a couple of weeks it is supposed to get really cold around here (finally) and maybe I could have my new Owls ready to wear by then. Hoot!
I'll give you more details on the pattern as I go.
best, susie

Absolutely lovely pattern and yarn just menat to be knit into it.
You're not going to believe this, but I cast on for the same thing as you yesterday morning!
This might just be the cutest sweater pattern...ever. Love it!
Wendy! That is so funny. I can't wait to finish it up.

This sweater is so lovely!
I'm so jealous. I want the beautiful yarn, too. but it's so hard to buy the right yarn in China and the custom has made it too troublesome to buy anything from overseas...
I am planning to make the baby version for a new niece or nephew to come in June. The baby pattern is named Owlet in ravelry if anyone is interested. Just trying to decide on the color, leaning toward Madelinetosh Toast.
I love this pattern.
I knit one last year, but I wasn't as careful about gauge as I thought I was...and it fit like a sausage casing, lol. I'm looking forward to making another one (that actually fits this time).
i loved knitting this sweater for my daughter. i'm betting you will like both the knitting and the wearing.
are you going to sew on buttons for eyes?
Just have to try this pattern some time. ON the to do list! =)

It is so nice having you "around" more and knitting all kinds of different things. I'm sure your kids are enjoying your presence and attention more, too.....well....maybe. :-)
I've always liked owls esp. since Harry Potter. That'll be a cute sweater on ya.
That's such a pretty colour of yarn, it's going to look great. I'm so excited to watch your sweater progress. This pattern is one I have wanted to make for myself for a while now, but I haven't knit a "real" sweater yet, so I have to work up my courage first :)
I just love that sweater. Stephanie McPhee did one recently with just two button eyes and I have been smitten ever since. Can't wait to see yours!
