Sweet Bunny

Hi Knitters,
I ran across this adorable photo of the Bunny Tail hat (there are 745 versions posted on Ravelry right here) from Itty-Bitty Hats the other day right here. I had to share it with you. It was knit by Melissa. Here is Melissa's blog. The yarn she used is Berroco Vintage (Mocha).

Here is what Melissa wrote to me about the photo:

My good friend Elizabeth did the photography, the baby is her niece, Cara. She was less than a week old and about 6 lbs. When I knit the hat for her she wasn’t born yet, so I knit the normal 0-3 months size, it ended up being quite big, but she looked very sweet. Elizabeth always takes really great photos of my knits for me.
That's all today! The photo made me smile and I thought it might do the same for you.
best, susie

That is too precious! Glad you came across that. That hat fits perfectly. I forget how small babies are at that age.

What an adorable photo! You know, I've been looking to make some accessories for the photography friends I know, and this might just be the perfect thing. Thanks for the idea. :)

Yes, that made me smile a LOT. I think that hat will be my next new baby gift to someone. I'm totally inspired to make it and I love all your books.

That is so sweet. I love hats on newborns. I am making your upside down daisy hat. On Row 9 of the petal it says to slip one stitch slip 1 stitch knit 2 slip stitches together through the back needles. I have never had to do anything like this and am totally confused. so am I knitting the two stitches that are slipped onto the kneedle in my rt. hand. I know this may be hard to explain but I have the hat completed and it just needs petals and I am totally lost!!!
