One for All Hat

Hi Knitters,
I am excited to offer you the pattern for the One for All Hat! I chose the name due to the fact that this hat fits me, my 14-year-old son and my 8 and 11-year-old daughters. You could make it in one color and leave off the pom-poms for a simple man's hat or stripe or color block and add pom-poms for a more feminine version. This is a very quick and fun knit, perfect for a first-time cable project. There is an optional lining knit right into the hat.
Yarn: Rowan Cocoon for the hat; RYC Cashsoft for the lining which is optional
Needles: US size 10 sixteen-inch circular needles and a set of 4 double-pointed needles or size needed to obtain gauge.
Gauge: 4 stitches per inch

Click on the buy now button below to order. I will send the pattern in pdf file form to you via email.
Have fun!
best, susie

Thanks Susan, just hit the Paypal and ordered the hat pattern. Can't wait to get the yarn (yarn shopping, yes!) and get started. Happy New Year to you and your family.

I tried and it wanted me to pay $5.00. Is there a secret trick?

Hi Becky,
There is no trick, the pattern costs five dollars. I do have lots of free patterns available on my sidebar if that's what you are looking for!

Susan,
LOVE your book "Itty Bitty Hats" and have successfully completed a few. I am now working on "felted flower child" and am having a problem. I have used the suggested yarn and needles and have cast on the correct number of stitches for the smallest hat. However, the pattern calls for 1 skein and I am running out of yarn after only completing 4 1/2 inches after the perl row. Also, the hat appears to fit me and not the head of a newborn. What could I possibly be doing wrong? Thank you for your time. Donna

Hey Susan,

Do you think 1 skein of Cocoon would be sufficient if I wanted to make the hat all one color? How many hats like the one pictured do you suppose I could get out of 1 skein of each color? It's time to start thinking about Christmas...

Okay, Paws,
I think you could for sure get a hat out of one skein. I am going to say 4 hats out of three skeins, one being striped. Maybe.

That is my best guess. You know, this is one of my favorite all-time hats and I hope you share your one for alls with me:)
You are the tea set girl, right?
