Unisono is in the House
Hi Knitters,
I just had to quickly share this good looking yarn cake with you. I started that sock last night with the Unisono yarn. It is a sport weight yarn and I am using US size 3 (3.25mm) dpns. I love how it is making bold stripes with flecks of brown. The colors are such an interesting combination, kind of unexpected.
I bought the yarn at Spin of Door County last summer. It only has 300 meters so I am unsure of how far that will take me. I made a slightly shorter cuff then usual just to be on the safe side.
Boy does a sport weight sock ever work up fast. I need to do more of this. Cast on 48 stitches and go!
Until tomorrow...
best, susie

Love those colors...yummy. And I have to say I am always drawn to the new photo on your blog--love you, love your hat, love the beautiful wood on the building behind you! :-) Momoffour
Funnily enough, I have that same yarn in my stash...same colorway, perhaps even same dyelot. However, I bought mine in Glen Elyn (Chicago) last summer...
Two words - "Toe-up Socks" (or maybe that is three?)
On a totally different note, that blue is gorgeous.
Sweet picture!
Love that yarn and colorway. One skein makes a fine little baby sweater. http://www.ravelry.com/projects/eowynjesse/seamless-baby-sweater
Oh yes very pretty yarn!
I'm glady you shared your yarn as it is gorgeous!
Hey, lady!
Quit teasing me with that gorgeous blue item you are knitting! This is the second time you have had it in the picture, but not identified it except to say it is in the works! I am on the ninth section of my Citron shawl, so, if it is a new shawl, I'll be ready for the pattern soon! LOL
Oh, and the sock yarn is lovely and colorfully complex!
I recently made a pair of socks with worsted weight and they used about 210 yards. I suspect you might be okay. Nice colors.
Photo would be a great postcard, beautiful yarn. Susan just had to tell you I just got the S&C email on the blog update, that Leaf Blanket is A-Maz-ing! So you, as a designer and I can't wait to knit it, adorable. You continue to amaze me with your work that is your passion.
Wow! You got a lot done in one night.
Gorgeous yarn! I just love Door County, so it's nice to know that there is lovely yarn to be had there. I grew up in Wisconsin, and try to go back at least once a year with my children.
I made the Helena baby sweater from Knitty in that exact colorway last year and it's gorgeous. If you need more, I know Sow's Ear is stocking it now in multiple colorways. Unisono just feels yummy too, doesn't it?
