I'm cleaning out big time. Which means if you want to win a big bunch of yarn you are in luck. I am throwing in a sweet little handmade apron in a 4-5 year-old size. I bought this for The Collector and she only wore it once or twice. It has been folded up in a drawer for years so it needs a good press. It is in perfect condition. The Collector isn't much of an apron girl and I'm not either. The apron has two buttons in the back. It is completely adorable and vintage looking and some little girl out there would just love it. It would make a great art smock, too.
Okay, here is the yarn that I will happily pack up and send to you when you win:

As a Wisconsin knitter living in Colorado for the past 6 years, I love reading all of your blog posts & look so forward to new ones as it's a fun glimpse of home in addition to great knitting information...and this fabulous chance for all of that yarn. Thanks for the contest and blog!! Colleen.Wheeler@yahoo.com
Hi Susan! I've been following your blog for a little bit now and must say I love it. You're so real. I have followed a few other author's blogs, but there's never anything very personal, just promotions about upcoming books. Which is fine, but I just wanted to tell you that I enjoy getting to know you. I love your knitting books and when I am doing your projects it almost feels like I do know you a bit, if that makes any sense. Anyway, I'd like to be entered into your contest also and you're so very generous with this. Thanks for everything!
Hi, I love your blog and your youtube videos. Thanks for the tutorials. Your very talented and I love your whimsical style.
Thanks, Nicole

11I just love making the Itty-Bitty hats. I give them to hospitals in boxes of 50 and actually get notes from the nurses! Their favorite is the cupcake hat from your Nursery book. I make it smaller for the preemies and also larger sizes. I love all of them and can't knit fast enough! That yarn would be put to good use.
Gmahelen
hi, love your blog!

Hi Susan! What a great giveaway - isn't renovation time the perfect time to clean house (and stash, and toys...). I'm on a total kids' knit kick, and those colors are great.
Good luck with the rest of your reno. Can't wait to see your kitchen. :)

WOW, what a great assortment of yarns! Crossing my fingers. And if I am lukcy enough to be chosen, I will promise to make a few sweet baby hats to donate as I don't currently have any babies to knit for.
I'd like to enter, leave you a good comment you say. After making many baby hats from your book Itty Bitty Hats for friends and family, I'll finally get to make one for my own little baby, as I'm due in March.
Susan,
I loved making Elephante. I named him Rick! The ears were sooo floppy it was adorable. I can't wait to make the frog next!

oh the excitement! and how odd.... i was just informing myself of the Red Scarf Project (on ravelry)when i next decided to click over to your site to check out that lovely free scarf pattern you recently posted and to catch up on what's what. now, as i'm not much of a "red" person in my knitting life, i don't own any red stash yarn... BUT i see one little skein in your giveaway list and wouldn't that be karmic-ly fitting if it were to come my way and hence be used for the RS project? would it be suitable for your cable scarf pattern, do you think?
You are so generous! My funny story this week is that my 3 year old told me he wanted to "knit for a job" when he grows up. Like me. Don't I wish! :)

Hello, so you had me hook at the orange creamcicle. My absolute favorite color is orange and my favorite ice cream in orange sherbert and vanilla. Hope your week goes well and that you meet all your deadlines with time to spare. Buffy in Deer Park, WA

Wow! Cool giveaway. I am so glad I can check your blog while I am on vacation with my family. I would love some yarn to make more itty bitty hats.
I am all about free knitting goodies! And since my family of 6 has 1 steady income, free is definitely the operative word!
Can't wait for "Itty Bitty Toys!"
Great giveaway! I'll have to sneak it past my hubby if I win :o)
I have never won anything, so here's to hoping. I have two boys and just had a little baby girl. Yes, that's right. I am now getting to delve into the wonderful world of girl knit things. Although my wee one is...well...wee, the apron will wait patiently for her in the closet.
Becky
Oh my goodness, what a great giveaway! My daughter and I are definitely apron lovers, so count me (us) in!
And enjoy your break--after a deadline is always a great time to sneak away! I hope it's perfect :)

KTE on Ravelry here - you said just to tell you 'something' (and to say Hi - 'hi! Susan :) ), so here goes something. I really only have one thing on my mind at the moment. I'm expecting my third child - first daughter...I'm 38 weeks today, which means, theoretically any day now. I've got the yarn for your sweet pea hat sitting on top of my piano, making me happy knowing it's my next project. Hope your holiday is lovely.
I see lots of blue in that selection and having a new grandson I can think of lots of things to do with it! I also have a granddaughter who would be just the apron girl that that apron needs. So cute!
thank you for your itty bitty cuteness!

A gal can never have too much yarn! Right? Thanks for the giveaway. Laura, from PEI
Hi Susan - I love your patterns. I'm working on my "Olive You" hat for the Ravelry Itty-Bitty Knits swap and am LOVING the cute design - it gets a lot of interested comments from my fellow knitters at the LYS. (Perhaps that LYS will be persuaded to order your book? I can hope!)
Enjoy your vacation!
Great giveaway! I am going to throw my hat into the ring!
My brain is fried from taking care of my very active 19 month old daughter. So this is the only thing that comes into my mind to tell you. Although she is a handful and drives me beyond exhaustion, her smiles, hugs and kisses makes it all worth it. I love being a mommy.
Wowzer...439 comments so far! Oh, there would be so many fun and exciting things to make with all of this beautiful yarn. The apron is adorable ...I'd pass that along to my granddaughter! She loves to bake with me in the kitchen! Your generosity is beyond beautiful! I wish you nothing but a relaxing and beautiful time away!
Something funny ...well it's more just plain darn sweet. My two year old grandson has just learned to say 'I wuv u' ...so when he leaves at the end of the day ...he can now say bye-bye ...I wuv u! It just puts such a big smile on my face, but an even bigger smile in my heart!
One NEVER has too much yarn, but I'm glad you think you do so we can benefit from your downsizing.
judi7597@bellsouth.net
Hi there! I first found my way here because of the pattern for Elefante - I love it! I love all elephants :)

What a fabulous giveaway! Oh the things I could knit! (Including an itty-bitty hat or two of course!)
I've loved scaling down the Itty Bitty hats by knitting them in sport weight yarn. They make wonderful newborn gifts. I'd welcome the opportunity to use the yarn in your giveaway to try them in the weight yarn you intended.

Your "Itty Bitty Hats" book has inspired me beyond words. Now, I'm referred to by those around me as "She makes hats...you should see them!" And people are already placing their orders for this fall. And it's AUGUST!!! I have only ever made a couple exact patterns from the book -- but what you've put into it has inspired me to create as many different hats as I can fathom..and share them with all who will wear them.
So thank you. This yarn will definatley help me keep up on my fall orders -- especially since I don't charge a dime for any of my work.

Susan, you are so precious the way you love on your family. Life seems idyllic in Madison.
All the yarn looks yummy! I made the hat with ears from Itty Bitty Hats for a friends baby and tucked flowers at the base of the ears. Thanks for great patterns.

Hey! My name is Abby, and I would love to have all that yarn! I'm a graduate student, so I knit in my (very sparse) spare time, and my yarn purchases are usually a little at a time for a certain project, because money is almost as sparse as my spare time! My e-mail is AbigailSchindler@gmail.com.
Thanks for passing along all these goodies! Wow! Hope your day is happy! cj

Hi Susan. I love how you call us "knitters." I am new, self-taught, and wanted to learn because of the cute things Sarah was making from your books at In the Midst of It. I made a "household helper" (cleaning rag) yesterday and my kids were quite impressed :) Wait till they have to use it.
Thanks for the chance to win - so many possibilities!

Hi,
Oh dear, it was a bunch of comments! But with such a nice blog it's obvious that you have a lot of readers.
What a giveaway! I don't have any hope for winning it, even if I really would love to, but I just have to give it a try, haven't I?
Take good care of yourself!
Hi Susan. I am a grandmother of four and recently started knitting about a year ago. My late mother taught me to knit as a child so I knew the basic stitches. My daughter is a fabulous knitter and got me interested in knitting again. I have completed several projects and am currently working on a baptism dress for my granddaughter. I would love to win your yarn giveaway. It would keep these idle hands busy this coming winter in Ohio to make lots of projects for my grandbabies. I love your website!
Oh no - I have to tell you something good or something funny? I can't take the pressure! Something good: The first thing I ever knitted that was more than a hat was from your book, Itty Bitty Nursery. I just love it!
love your site.

I had one of life's greatest gifts handed to me this past week. Sunday my little boy was born two weeks early. My sister made your sweet pea hat for him. We didn't plan on him being early, so the hat is a little bit. But I know he will grow into it and I just adore him and the hat!

Hi Susan! Love your giveaways and your books. I've made several things from Itty Bitty Knits for my Grand Daughter. :)
Hi Susan, I know you won't be sending anything to Germany, but I am taking the giveaway as the impetus to tell you how much I am enjoying knitting hats out of Itty Bitty Hats. They are all so whimsical! Mind you, I don't have anyone close to knit them for! I am sending them all to three second cousins twice removed who live a three hour flight plus four hour drive away from me. To see our combined work (your designs plus my knitting), you can check out my ravelry projects. My ravelry name is my first name, "Kadri".
I will be ordering Itty Bitty Nursery this weekend & I am waiting for Itty Bitty Toys to appear in print. I hope you stay interested in knitting & sharing your creations for a long, long time.
