Hi Knitters,
Remember this blanket I made for a baby gift awhile back? I received quite a few emails wondering how I embroidered Charlotte onto the blanket. All of a sudden I noticed yesterday that there is a new button to upload videos onto your blog. I am all about easy buttons and we are trying it out.
My son filmed me today for a tutorial on the chain stitch with wrap stitch technique. There is one brief moment that is slightly out of focus, but other than that it turned out okay. This is one of my favorite embroidery techniques to use on knitted fabric. There is so much flexibility with this technique. Take some time to practice and you will quickly see how easy it is. I hope this helps. Let me know what you think.
best, susie
Very useful. Thanks for the great videofirmeans
ReplyDeleteThank you so much! Now that looks easy enough - but I'm sure I'll be eating those words as soon as I try it for real :)
ReplyDeleteOh wow, that looks pretty easy Susan, thanks for showing us. Especially as Itty Bitty Nursery has that in it, now I will feel like I can attempt those things :-)
ReplyDeleteThat looks easy!!! I just might have to try this!!!
ReplyDeleteOh thank you for the great tutorial! I loved it (felt like I was back in your class) and I agree with your other commenters - almost looks like I could do it:)
ReplyDeleteLook at you, high tech girl! :) I'm going to have to try video for my next tutorial...maybe! :) Seems easier than uploading all of those individual photos and writing the steps out!
ReplyDeleteLove the technique, too, thanks!

Oh Susan, thank you for the video tutorial! I love that we saw your face too and not just your work and voice. You did a great job and explained it very good - I believe I can do it now!
