Hi, Knitters,
I am waiting on a couple of things to get confirmed about a giveaway, and I'm planning an upcoming knitalong, and I'm trying to finish up a couple of details before I release the Bunny Love pattern for download. So in the meantime I recorded another episode of Catching Up: A Video Podcast of Sorts for you.

Hi Susan-- I am enjoying your video this morning while eating some muffins with my kiddos. My almost-5-year-old daughter took one look at the socks you were holding up and said, "Look Mommy, the toes don't match and neither does the part by your leg." HAHA. It was said in such a way that I now know to only make her completely matching socks. =D Also, you aren't kidding about the weather. Here in Marquette we haven't had a daytime high temp. above freezing since Dec. 5. The kids (and my teacher husband) have had 6 days off from school due to the frigid temps. Stay warm!
ReplyDeleteHi Susan! I'm so in for a little doll KAL!!! I want to knit one up for my daughter. It has been busy, so I think a KAL is just what I need to get going on it! Loved your cute podcast!

What a fun surprise to have an update from you that was fun to listen to and knit while listening. You are so sweet and talented. It is always a treat to hear what is going on with you and your family.
ReplyDeleteHow fun to see you! I was excited to hear about the fortissima socks. I don't know who I had heard about that yarn from before but I happened to catch a sale at my LYS for three single skeins of it in different colorways. I knew enough to snatch them up even though they wouldn't be enough to make three pairs. I figured I could do contrasting heels and toes and maybe stretch them. Much to my delight, I discovered one of the three is the same you used. Yay! Now, back to watch the rest of the podcast.
ReplyDeleteHi, Susan ,
ReplyDeleteSooo glad I found your videocast thank you for taking the time to record and give so much information. I LOVE your new socks...WOW! The Fortissima looks beautiful and the pattern is stunning, true art. I would be very interested in a KAL for you Living Dolls and a give away would be awesome. I would knit two, one each for my granddaughters...one like our "golden hair surprise" and a brunette for our littlest. Thanks so much!

ReplyDeleteI love seeing others who knit socks with double points. It seems like everyone around me here are knitting them on circulars or two at a time. I just keep saying, I like knitting mine on double points, one at a time!

I love your blog. A great mix to inspire and communicate. How do you get your pompoms to look so full. Mine look anorexic compared to yours. Possible a tutorial for us out here trying to emulate your beautiful hats?
ReplyDeleteThanks, rosevta@hotmail.com
