This will be my last installment in my sock saga for awhile. I have to get on with my real knitting for a bit as there is so much to get done coming up here. My sock is inspired from these beautiful socks.
I love how this has turned out. The toe for the next sock will sport the two shades of green.
The toe I finished up early this morning.
The colors are the best. I used Spud & Chloƫ Fine in the following colorways going down the sock:

Here are some fun links for you today to start the week:
I love Hannah Fettig so much! She's a knitting star. I'd love to knit everything she designs.
Oh, and I love this hat from knitty, too.
That's enough for now. I have caught the most miserable cold. I can't stand to be around myself for all of the hacking and blowing going on. I hope you are all faring much better than me this week.
best, susie
OMGosh, Susan! You are so kind and sweet; mahalo plenty.
ReplyDeleteI looove your socks! They look perfecto!
The fabrics you ordered from Purl Soho, a store I was lucky to visit at its old site for the yarn part, are super cool; what are you going to do w/those? I can't wait to see/read.
When my daughter was in her teens neither of us was making hand knit socks (we churn the out now - well, she churns them out, I live in a warmer, snowless climate and I really just sort of produce the occasional pair). Tracking socks wasn't the problem. It was panty hose. I finally, after the twentieth time I had to stop at the grocery for a quick pair of pantyhose on my way to work, had to institute a no-pantyhose-unless-you-ask-me-first-rule. It was strictly enforced!
ReplyDeleteThe unoriginal hat has been in my faves for a while. I had forgot I put it there. It seems like a great piece for starter cables.
