Here is the video demonstration of the drop stitch for the Taiyo Reversible Scarf. We had a few technical difficulties so it ended up not being super focused but you can still easily see how it works. Thanks for the support and I hope you enjoy your scarves. You can also view this video on my youtube videos.
best, susie
p.s. Nice face! Quick push play!
Thanks for showing this, how easy and fun!
ReplyDelete(you are such a good sport! Why do videos grab a random shot like that...it's always the worst! It's happened to me, too.)
That's a really neat effect. I'll have to try it sometime.
ReplyDeleteI have had the hardest time finding taiyo! Only one shop has it in the W. Michigan area and they only had one colorway which I didn't care for. I finally substituted another worsted handpainted for the scarf and when I had worked up 4 inches or so I thought "this is ugly - I don't like it." But then for fun I dropped the stitches to see what it would look like and Oh My Goodness!!! The dropped stitches make it so perfect and pretty! Even in a different yarn. So light and fluffy. Great design, Susan.
ReplyDeleteThe funny thing is I made a scarf in the same basic pattern as yours when I first learned to knit to practice purling, and I didn't like the finished piece - too heavy. So now I'm going to go back and drop some stitches in it and see what happens. :-)
