Hi Knitters,
My daughter came out of piano lessons today with a special gift for me. She wrote me a song for Valentine's Day called, Knitting. She was so proud and excited to tell me about it. Her teacher, Amy, does such a great job getting the kids interested in all sorts of different ideas about music and piano. I certainly don't think my daughter thought she could write a song at this point. My daughters are lucky to have an inspiring teacher like her.
Anyway, since it is a song called Knitting, I thought I would play it as my gift to you for Valentine's Day. It isn't much but here it goes:
Awww..what a sweet gift from your daughter!

ReplyDeleteSo sweet of your daughter to write you this song (how old is she?), and so sweet of you to share it with us.

ReplyDeleteMy daughter (8) started taking viola lessons this year and has made up a few pieces so I will have to share this with her in hopes that she will begin writing them down. Have you seen the wonderful Moleskine music notebooks that have the musical staff printed on the pages? Might make a good gift for your young composer!
What a perfect Valentine's Gift from your daughter! She did a great job.

Belatedly (I came across a link to your blog from Ravelry) - if you make frosting at home from a mix of confectioners / powdered sugar, a little bit of butter and some milk it will set hard as well. Must easier for transporting that way!
