When you think about it, this technique is a mixing of two media, like using both paint and pastel in a single painting. And what is the typical effect of a mixing of media? An altogether more stunning, original and thought-provoking experience (yes, I think knitted creations are examples of art and CAN be thought-provoking). The process helped me release a morsel or two of inner creativity, and it looks like it did the same for you. I will definitely be experimenting with beads again.
